About The VISTA Position:
There are over 60,000 Lawful Permanent Residents in Philadelphia who are eligible for citizenship, according to national immigration groups. This project would help design and implement a program where residents have resources available to them to outline the path to citizenship in their language while also educating future citizens on the structure and functions of government. This would empower residents with the ability to vote in elections and understand what their government does for them. To increase outreach and access to citizenship and civic engagement opportunities while also connecting residents to available resources in the community.
