About The VISTA Position:
With 42,000 Philadelphia residents being housing-burdened, spending more than 50% of their income on housing, the project will focus on the implementation of the Housing Action Plan (HAP) and especially options for very-low income Philadelphians who earn 30% or less of Area Median Income (AMI) which is $26,300 for a 4-person family. The VISTA will research programs and practices that stabilize this population in housing which is an indicator for successful outcomes in behavioral /physical health and employment. The project will consider the programs, practices, models and funding for creative housing solutions resulting in success for the resident, and the community.
