If you’ve lived in Philly for any length of time, you probably know that here, the 4th of July is a week-long event. The annual Wawa Welcome America festival hosts seven days of free concerts, festivals, movie screenings, and open access to museums to celebrate Independence Day in the birthplace of our nation.
This year, Serve Philadelphia is helping to make the festival more patriotic than ever by hosting a voter registration table at several of the events. While you’re out enjoying live music, free activities, and seven tons of the East Coast’s most classic hoagies, don’t forget that one of the most important things you can do to celebrate our nation’s independence is to VOTE, and to make sure that your family, friends, and neighbors are also prepared to participate in the political process.
Look for our table at the following Wawa Welcome America events:
Wawa Hoagie Day: Thursday, June 28 | 12-2 pm | National Constitution Center Lawn
Wawa Welcome America Launch: Thursday, June 28 | 3-8 pm | City Hall
On the Delaware Music Festival: Saturday, June 30 | 10 am - 7 pm | Pennypack on the Delaware Park
Block Party: Tuesday, July 3 | 12-7 pm | Independence Mall
Party on the Parkway: Wednesday, July 4 | 12-5 pm | Benjamin Franklin Parkway
Not going to make it out to any of those events? If you're a Pennsylvania resident, you can register online at votespa.com. Residents of other states can register through vote.org.
